Who can join?

You may join the program if:

You are a Tyndale employee or adult dependent (18+)

For medication: a BMI of 30+, OR a BMI of 27+ with at least one obesity-related condition such as hypertension, prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia, obstructive sleep apnea, cardiovascular disease, or osteoarthritis

No requirements for coaching-only enrollment (EmblaThrive) — open to everyone

Is there a cost?

Tyndale covers most of the cost. Coaching alone (EmblaThrive) is fully covered for employees — $0 out-of-pocket. For coaching plus medication (EmblaThriveMD), your employee cost ranges from $25/month (semaglutide) to $399/month (Zepbound), depending on which medication you and your clinician choose. Adult dependents on the health plan pay slightly more.

Who is eligible?

All Tyndale employees and adult dependents (18+) are eligible. Coaching (EmblaThrive) has no BMI or medical requirements — it's open to everyone. Medication (EmblaThriveMD) requires a BMI of 30+, or a BMI of 27+ with at least one obesity-related condition.

Can my spouse or adult children join?

Yes. Adult dependents (18+) on the Tyndale health plan are eligible. Tyndale subsidizes their participation too — though the employee subsidy is slightly higher, so out-of-pocket costs are a bit more for dependents.

Do I need medication?

No, medication is not mandatory. Many members find success through coaching alone. GLP-1 medication is available only if deemed medically appropriate and if you choose to use it.

What medications are available?

All options are available — compounded medication (semaglutide and tirzepatide), Ozempic, and Zepbound. Tyndale's subsidy applies to all of them.

How do I get the medication?

If GLP-1s are suitable for you, an Embla clinician will evaluate your medical history. If prescribed, medication is shipped directly to your home.

Is this confidential?

Yes. Tyndale knows how many people enrolled. They don't see who, what you discuss with your coach, or your weight progress.

What's expected from me?

Stay active in coaching and complete quick check-ins every 90 days. If you're on medication, continued coverage depends on engagement and progress — your care team will guide you.

How much time do I need to invest?

Most members connect with their coach 2–4 times a month. You also have unlimited chat access through the app. Most members see best results after 8–12 months.
