Proven results that last

2,314 Participants

Our real-world research studied members using low doses of semaglutide combined with expert 1:1 coaching.

Sustainable weight loss

9 out of 10 of participants lost an average 10% of their body weight in 52 weeks, proving our approach leads to long-term results.

Lower doses, same effect

We found that low semaglutide doses were just as effective as higher levels, all while maintaining weight loss

Gradually coming off

Participants who tapered off semaglutide slowly over 9 weeks, and had a recorded weight measurement, maintained weight loss for at least 6 months after stopping it completely.

FAQs

Some commonly asked questions about our plans…

What does health coaching involve?

Health coaching focuses on prevention and education by addressing the root causes of weight gain. Coaches create a tailored plan to help you introduce healthy habits and set achievable goals. With expert support and 1:1 coaching, you navigate your journey collaboratively. You set your own goals and decide how often you want support. Whether dealing with emotional eating, staying active, or food guilt, our coaches are here to help you overcome these challenges.

Why do I need a health coach?

Sustaining weight loss requires key habits changes, best achieved with the personal support of a health expert. At Embla, we emphasize that effective weight loss combines medication with a strong focus on lifestyle improvements, as we do not endorse medication use without this critical element.

Is the medication safe?

GLP-1 medications are generally considered safe when used as prescribed by a registered healthcare professional. GLP-1a medications like Wegovy® are licensed weight loss treatments that may cause mild side effects in some individuals, however, these side effects typically subside within a few weeks of starting the medication.

How long will I need to be on the medication?

Our members typically stay with us for about 8 to 12 months or until they reach their desired BMI. If you have mobility-limiting illnesses, this may affect the duration of treatment.

Who can be prescribed weight loss medication?

GLP-1a medications are suitable for adults with a BMI of 30 or more if they have a weight-related health condition such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or sleep apnea.
